Buying a shared ownership property is very similar to buying any other property, however we will advise you of the additional restrictions, limitations on sale and the costs associated with your shared ownership purchase.
We will carefully review the contract package and prepare an in depth legal report. We will advise you about the lease and your rights and entitlements, but also the limitations and things that you cannot do. We will advise you as much as we can about the finances, and if there are plans to do any significant refurbishment.
We will order searches for you and report on the results and if you have a mortgage we will review the offer to make sure it is right for you and it complies with the Housing Association Conditions We will ask the Seller’s Solicitors questions to establish as much information as possible so that you can be certain that you can purchase the property.
We will let you know when you can exchange and be with you through to Completion and even after that we will still be working on your behalf to ensure your property is registered.
